“We are thrilled to announce our upcoming BlogTour to KBIS, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Orlando (#BlogTourKBIS) which will be our fifth tour to this most important trade event in the Kitchen & Bath industry. Why important? Simple. It is the one place where everyone comes together to (re)connect, learn, be inspired and see what’s new. Personally, KBIS has always been an industry barometer for me and seeing it grow, especially over the past five years, makes me realize that our industry is headed in a great direction. Since we brought our first group to New Orleans in 2013, KBIS, and its owners at the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) developed the show with emphasis on innovative events and community engagement which mirrored development of online communities and commerce. The result: A stronger, healthier industry with smarter business and marketing practices and a rekindled love for innovative and inspired design. I am very proud that Modenus and I can be a part of it all.” (Veronika Miller Modenus Founder and CEO)

Being raised in Colorado and later transplanted to the Chicago lakefront, Michael Ryan is influenced by both coastal and mountainous lifestyles. Michael is drawn to colors and textures with a history behind them. During his walks around town, he seeks items such as metals with patina or weathered barn doors with its former layers of paint appearing through its cracks and chips. The quality of a hand sewn stitch has the ability to unknowingly carry a room. In his contemporary settings, Michael is drawn to orderly and functional layouts, minimal furnishings with maximum impact. With degrees in design, he has been able to incorporate his ideals as an award-winning product developer, trend forecaster and has managed large corporate design teams. In the beginning of his career, Michael was on a product development team; there were twelve of them sitting at large conference table. At the time, the team was all pitching ideas, which were all small failures until the team leader came in and threw river rock on the table and told them to design a line around them.
